There was once a time when I just had gotten married, 7 years ago. I had moved states, started to work full time, go to school full time, meaning, 14 hour days!
Plus I was in the capital of coffee, Seattle. I got hooked on coffee.
It got to the point where I could drink an entire pot of coffee no problem.
Words to describe that time. Tired, very tired & my body hated me kind of feeling.
Fast forward a few years and I had Naomi then Chloe in under two years of each other. But I couldn’t drink coffee because of nursing. I experienced a whole other level of TIRED. 24/7 days, to this day.
What helped me through these very different but very energy deficient life stages?
Well a few things along with the love and support of my hubs, but, a big one was diet. That includes JUICING periodically but mostly eating clean with a few guilty pleasures. EVERYTHING in moderation.
Soon after I made this change in everyday diet and next to my already active lifestyle. I felt new and saw what benefits it gave me.
Juicing just made me feel like what I ate. Good.

I’m neither an expert on diet plans nor do I think I need to convince anyone that carrots and kale are cool. I think culture has done a good job at it then when I eat ‘pressed juice’ and call it ‘ice cream’ happily.You know that us millennial’s are doing something right! Yay good job!
So now that you have scrolled through my preface.
Here are my top 3 fav go to juices.
The recipes below yield to three, 48 oz containers.
1 bunch kale, 1 bunch of spinach, 2 celery stalks, 6 green apples, ginger to taste, 2 limes
2 large beets, 1 lb strawberries, 5 red apples, 2 rhubarb stalks, 1 lemon
5 oranges, 4 tangerines, 2 lemons, 4 carrots, ginger to taste, tumeric and stir.
I make this in bulk because the downside to doing it yourself is the clean up. But save on buying those $10 juices.
I love using my glass pitchers with lids bought at Ikea for storing. And it looks legit!
Using fresh produce inspired by color. You can mix and match to the season and variety at your local market.
This was about 15 lbs of fruits and vegies. Cost was around $29 and I’d say certified organic as it was more organic than not. (isn’t certified organic like 30%?)
So go ahead, dust off that juicer. Make them in advance and keep in the fridge for 2-3 days & enjoy.
